From a humble beginning at a makeshift cabin at Pune’s COEP campus to an infrastructure consulting powerhouse with work spanning 22 States and Abroad, Monarch’s journey reads like an engineering odyssey writ large. In July 1999, four civil-engineering students, united by late-night volleyball matches and shared lectures, decided to pool their grit and build something lasting. Invited into a friend’s furnished office suite on the first floor of a Shivajinagar building, they christened their fledgling venture “Monarch”.
Their early years were marked by hand-carved cadastral maps and contour markings under punishing monsoon rains, each assignment a test of precision amid unpredictable terrain. A breakthrough came with the adoption of SBPS technology, which allowed surveyors to capture accurate coordinates without traditional reference stakes, forging baby steps into field-hardened know-how with cutting-edge innovation. In 1999, they formalized as a limited company, and a decade later were tapped to map Sri Lanka’s Jaffna rail corridor, navigating conflict zones with steely resolve before local guides cleared landmines just ahead of each survey team.
Today, with a ₹150 crore-plus annual turnover, 500+ multidisciplinary professionals, and India’s most extensive private fleet of drones, LiDARs, MX90, entire advanced software stack, Monarch remains driven by that same founding conviction: precision under pressure, ethical rigor in every measurement, and a promise to deliver “On Time, Every Time” because for us, every road, railway and pipeline is more than infrastructure; it’s a lifeline for millions.
