Feasibility Studies

Monarch’s feasibility teams bring economists, traffic analysts, surveyors, geologists, and environmental experts together to answer one decisive question: Should this project be built and, if yes, then on what terms? Our real success is in the rigour of multi-level surveys, understanding the landscape, and statutory requirements and compliance issues

We combine on-ground data, advanced modeling, and risk analysis to define the technical viability, investment needs, implementation phasing, and expected returns. Each project begins with detailed surveys, including inventory surveys, topographic and geotechnical investigations, traffic surveys (classified volume, O-D, and TMC), capacity assessments, and condition assessments. Using this data, we carry out comprehensive technical feasibility studies, alignment optimization, geometric design, and traffic forecasting. Simultaneously, we perform an economic feasibility analysis that includes Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA), economic Internal Rate of Return (EIRR) calculations, and phasing strategies.

We create reports using a multi-disciplinary approach that ensures technical robustness, economic viability, and regulatory compliance. We see to it that there are no costly course-corrections.

Where our studies add value:

  • National & State Highways – New corridors, widening, access controlled upgrades

  • Urban & Regional Rail / Metro – Ridership forecasts, Depot and station siting

  • Ports & Coastal Roads – Jetty expansion, Sea-link alignments, Erosion defences

  • Industrial Corridors & SEZs – Land-bank due diligence, Utility and logistics planning

  • Power & Renewable – Hydro catchments, Solar-park layouts, Transmission corridors

  • Smart-City & Urban Redevelopment – Multimodal hubs, Complete-street packages

Why Monarch has the edge:

Surveys, lab tests, modelling, and economics sit under one roof, so any change in alignment instantly updates traffic, cost, and land schedules, eliminating rework. Our feasibility packages enjoy more than 95% first-submission clearance with agencies such as MSRDC and MMRDA, and in-house LiDAR and drilling fleets let us mobilise nationwide within 72 hr compressing study cycles from months to weeks

Representative projects:

  • Pune– Nashik Industrial Expressway (180 km, MSRDC) – traffic, topo, geotech, EMP and PPP analysis delivered in eight months; green lighted for detailed design.

  • Virar – Alibaug Multimodal Corridor (MMRDA/MSRDC)– ridership modelling, corridor alternatives, environmental screening and techno economic comparison for a coastal mega link.

Monarch’s feasibility studies turn vision into a bankable, regulator-ready roadmap setting projects on a clear path from concept to construction.
